1. take it or leave it ** 要么接受,要么放弃;不容讨价还价

解 〈口〉习语;词义溯源:照原样接受或者[放任(leave)]不管

例 Look, here's the way it's going to be: You can stay in my house so long as you keep your room neat and don't keep late hours . I know you like to go to bars until early in the morning, but if you want to stay here, you'll be in by midnight every night. That's it—take it or leave it. It makes no difference to me.

2. take it slow ** 缓慢地移动;慢慢来

解 〈口〉习语;词义溯源:[慢慢地(slow)]做

例 Kids these days start dating one week and then going to bed with each other the next week. When we were high school students, we had to take it slow. Sleeping together was not something to make light of . It was very serious and meant you were going to marry each other.

3. take kindly to sb. or sth. ** 欣然接受;自然而然地爱上
